EANA 2018 - Venue information
EANA 2018 will be held in Berlin, Germany, at the Free University Berlin, Campus Lankwitz, in building G, room G202.

Address:

Malteser Str. 74-100
12249 Berlin
Germany

How to get there:

In front of the university campus is the bus stop Emmichstr. of the express bus line X83, which connects the campus with the train and metro stations Lankwitz (7 minutes, lines S25/S26), Rathaus Steglitz (16 minutes, lines S1 and U9) and Dahlem-Dorf (24 minutes, line U3). Fastest access to the campus from the city center is via the train station Lankwitz.

How to get around in Berlin:

If you stay in Berlin for the entire week, it is advisable to buy a 7-day ticket for public transportation (valid on buses, trams, metro and trains). The city center and the area in which the university campus lie are the zone AB (30 €), for access to the surroundings of Berlin C you need to either buy the ABC ticket (37,50 €) or an extension ticket (1,60 €). More information.

If you arrive by train:

Depending on where your hotel will be, it may be more suitable to arrive at the train station Südkreuz instead of the central train station (Berlin Hauptbahnhof). From Südkreuz you can take the S1 to get to Rathaus Steglitz (if you book your hotel in that area) or the S25/S26 to get to Lankwitz to the university campus. Note that there are no hotels close to the university, so either Rathaus Steglitz or hotels along the S1/S25/S26 line are best suited for accommodation.
The central train station lies in the center of Berlin. To get from there to south Berlin (e.g. Lankwitz, Steglitz), take one of the regional trains either to Südkreuz, or one of the S-Bahn trains to Friedrichstraße, from where you can take the S25/S26 to Lankwitz.

If you arrive by plane:

Berlin has two airports, one in the west-north (Berlin-Tegel) and one in the east-south (Berlin-Schönefeld). The latter lies outside of the city center in zone C, so for public transportation you need a valid BC or ABC ticket (depending on where you need to go to).
From Berlin-Tegel, the best way to get to the university is to catch the TXL bus and to get out at U Turmstr., take the U9 until Rathaus Steglitz, and take the bus X83 from there to Emmichstr. This takes about 1 hour in total.
From Berlin-Schönefeld, take the S-Bahn train S45 to Südkreuz, and from there the S25 or S26 to Lankwitz, where you can catch the X83 bus to Emmichstr. This will take about 50 minutes.
